So what do you all think of WH Justice and Ajman Moniscione? [Jun. 23rd, 2010|11:32 am]

[mood |curiouscurious]

Two stallions that I've started taking notice of are:

WH Justice (Magnum Psyche x Von Sher-Rena by El Sher-Mann) - He is a 1999 Grey stallion (complete with a bloody shoulder), and the most extreme typey features that I have seen in a long time.  He's rather shocking to look at, he's so "Arabian"!

the other is his son who looks much like a pretty chestnut version of him:

Ajman Moniscione - (WH Justice x Anthea Moniscione by Padrons Ghibli) - stunning 2003 deep liver chestnut stallion. Heavily Russian bred through his dam.

Anything that you particularly like or dislike about these two?  Do you see them as hype or quality?

Hey everybody!  It looks like this community needs a little dusting off! haha!

Just wanted to take a moment to let you all know about a blog I've created.. it's dedicated to Arabian horses and is pretty much just a fun look around the internet to see what horses are available for sale, and at really good prices.

I also will occasionally post Youtube videos of Arabians in all of their glory.

If you have a moment, please come by and check the blog out!  I would really enjoy feedback and commentary on any of the horses posted.

Thanks so much!!

Fascination for Arabian Horses

Its so great to see a community dedicated to my favorite breed. It was by accident how I got my arab. My sister got "Aishleigh" when she was a foal and planned on training her. Yes she has blue eyes and that is how my sister got such a well bred Arabian so cheap. As time when on she got pregnant and wasn't able to care for her due to pregnancy complications. I at first didn't really want her. I had a buckskin quarter horse that I had since I was 10 years old. My mom's friend bought her and soon enough I was working with her in 4-h. I had a rocky start with her, before she turned three years old I figured she was useless to me. Once she was under saddle, her progress was amazing! I was able to do anything with her I cleaned out all of the open shows in the green horse division. Backpacking trail rides, barrel racing, jumping, a true all around horse. Her life was cut so short, she died at the age of 5 years old. Even though her death was so hard on me, I know she was my biggest accomplishment and I wouldn't ever take back the experience. I miss her and will only ride Arabians from now on.

My Beloved Gt Gold Legend [Aug. 25th, 2009|05:16 pm]
Fascination for Arabian Horses

[mood |melancholymelancholy]

 Hello All,
It's a wonderful thing to see a group dedicated to the mystical Arabian!!!
I have recently lost my beloved gelding to a severe lameness that could not be controlled.. he was only 14!! I am so lost without my best friend I have no idea of which way I'm going!
Any suggestions from ya'al may help.. I've never had to put any of my horses down.. but then again I've never luved any of them aas much as I did "Golden"there is something about this breed that is undescribable as I type I have chills running up and down my body!
Ok that's enough for me, I'm late for work!!!
Enjoy your beautiful horses!
~In memory of Gt Gold Legend "Golden" ~ May he rest in peace
Sent from another Arabian lover~~ So touched my heart I had to add it:
I'm sorry to hear about your loss... I had to put my first mare down several years ago and had a very hard time with it, so I understand what you're going through. My only advice is this: it would be a loss to you and everything you learned from your horse to stop riding, so as hard as it is, get back out there and remember him by working with another horse. And here's this, in the meantime...
"If you bury him in this spot, the secret of which you must already have, he will come to you when you call- come to you over the far, dim pastures of death, and down the remembered paths to your side again. And though you ride other living horses through life, they shall not shy at him or resent his coming. For he is yours and he belongs there.
People may scoff at you, who see no lightest blade of grass bent by his footfall, who hear no nicker pitched too fine for insensitive ears. People who may never really love a horse. Smile at them then, for you shall know something that is hidden from them, and which is well worth knowing.
The one place to bury a horse is in the heart of his mistress.”

Hi [Jan. 1st, 2009|09:22 pm]
Fascination for Arabian Horses

I've been lurking for awhile but haven't seen any posts, so it's nice to meet you all!

I've ridden arabians for a lot of my life but they've always been school horses or crosses.  I've never been a part of a show circuit.  I've loved almost all the arabians I've ridden.  They're sensitive, they're intelligent, they're responsive and energetic and they're cute!  However, most other people I talk to have a bad idea of arabians.

Honestly, seriously, I don't know why.  No one can really tell me any specific reason or bad experiences they've had on arabians.  This may not seem like the right place to ask this but I trust that you know arabians and your opinions will be justified and not prejudiced.  Is this just a bad wrap or is there something I don't know about?  I'm asking because in the next year I plan to buy a horse and I'll be looking for an arab or an arab cross.  Are there any specific undesirable traits that due come up in arabs that I should watch out for?  I would be looking for a best friend and a casual hunter/jumper trail partner, not a show horse.

Guardian Oasis is going professional [Jun. 26th, 2008|10:35 am]
Fascination for Arabian Horses
[mood |excitedexcited]

Over the past 15 years (yes, it really has been that long) I've been working with horses in a probono sort of way, helping people out with what they want with horses and redirecting those with horses so they are going the right way towards success with horses. 15 years..... it's hard to believe it's been that long. Well after 15 years we have finally decided to settle down and become a professional barn. Over the next six months we will be working towards settling down pricing for all our services (which is a lot more than most people know). In the next year we are hoping to settle down on a barn were I can have my clients and their horses come to a centered location.

Over the next six months I will be taking horses for training for a reduced rate. This rate reflects my desire to get into multiple fields of the horse industry. I currently specialize in Arabians, but I would like to get into Quarter Horses, Paints, Pintos, Thoroughbreds and many more including multiple types of riding.

I look forward to seeing what the next year and a half will bring me. If you have any suggestions, please, send them my way. Anything is helpful.
